Comfort Clamshell
A complete re-design of the leg band has resulted in this clamshell design, which is now far more comfortable in use thanks to the flexible nylon moulding used for the main body.
The extra shell makes it easier to tighten the strap, and the new nylon latch and hook system will give a longer service life.
The new clamshell is also mounted on a pivot bolt, which in turn aids a better fit to the user.

Secure Comfort Foot Harness
An all-new foot strap arrangement offers better foot location, and easier hold and release operation than before.
The heel retainer in particular offers a major improvement– the users feet cannot ‘ride out’ in normal use, and the arch saddle offers better comfort.
Both the heel and the toe use a new patented nylon latch, which hooks over the retainer before tightening the strap securely. The design of the latch will not allow accidental ‘de-coupling’ – the latch must be angled to release the hook.
The new arch saddle is symmetrically placed to give even force across the foot – helping to position the foot correctly and remain secure.

Strut tube adjustment clamp
A new clamp design reduces the number of components whilst retaining the unique amount of adjustment – vital for finding the perfect fit.
Only DURA-STILTS offer a full range of geometric adjustments to accommodate most leg shapes, allowing better levels of comfort and less fatigue in use.

These new DURA-STILTS represent more than five years intensive research, design, and engineering, resulting in FIVE new patents applied for (both USA and Worldwide).
Many components are common to both DURA III and the new Mark IV, a testament to the inherent design quality of the older product, but improved in areas, which will make a real difference to the professional user.
